Meet Our Founder
Josh Anderson
President & CEO
With nearly a decade of experience in the financial industry, Josh Anderson stands as a seasoned professional passionate about helping others with some of the most important decisions and planning in their lives.
Josh’s passion for service comes from a deep-rooted family experience of growing up caring for his grandparents after his grandfather had a stroke, and assisting his own father as he struggled with severe Multiple Sclerosis.
Josh began his career in the financial industry shortly after the tragic loss of his father. He was inspired by his experience assembling a team of trusted advisors to assist with financial and estate planning for his own family. The unexpected loss of his father just one year after Josh helped his dad put comprehensive financial and estate plans in place cemented his perspective regarding the need for financial and estate planning. His passion for service, experience helping others, and perspectives on the importance of planning inspired Josh to found Eagle Legacy and Financial.
In addition to his career in the insurance and financial services industry Josh spent a couple decades in the tech world as the founder of several web based tech startups. Josh has been a featured speaker at business events internationally and in the US. As an entrepreneur and founder of a software company Josh created jobs and opportunities for many individuals and provided innovative technologies as an early pioneer in business automation and centralization software, serving companies around the world.
Josh and his wife Valerie have been married for more than two decades raising all six of their children in Boise, Idaho. Josh attended Olympic College, South Puget Sound College, San Francisco State University, and graduated from BYU-Idaho. Beyond his professional life, Josh is an outdoorsman and an avid skateboarder. He also serves his community locally facilitating a rockhounding and geology education group online and occasionally leading field trips. Josh also founded a local group which provides donated skateboards to youth in need among other volunteer opportunities.
